Song of the week

Vampire Weekend’s new single ’Horchata’ is this week’s feature song - with it’s melodic, indie-rock feel, you may find yourself humming this tune as you day dream of picnics in spring beneath the fresh green grass and watercoloured butterflies.

Vampire Weekend begun producing their tunes in New York when they signed to XL Recordings in 2006. Interestingly enough, the band is influenced by African Popular Music and Western Classical Music, describing their genre of music as “Upper West Side Soweto”
